When I look around at the complexity and beauty of our world,
I wonder how anyone could think it happened without a designer.
Everywhere we look, the blueprint is plain to see.
Theres obviously a design. Intelligence purpose.
On an ocean shoreline
In the contour of a mountain range
In the ground we stand upon
In the majestic skies at dusk
In the hard wired behavior of the wild, in the miraculous brith of healthy child.
From the microscopic universe to the almost inconceivably vast universe which was created just so that we could occupy the tiniest fraction of it, there can be no doubt that this perfect plan.
Came from the flawless mind of a grand architect much greater, more just, more wise, more knowing. And more loving than we could ever imagine.
As he exists beyond the time, and sees through time, before the creation of the earth, sun, moon, and stars, he had a crystal clear vision everything to come, he knew everything that would happen in advance, and he set the machine of our universe in motion, the perfect plan of a perfect planner.
(asteroid impacts, brith defects, 2/3 of earth surface uninhabitable by humans, harmful UV radiation, tornadoes, droughts, floods, blizzards, a vast universe unknowing and uncaring about humans, sandstorm, degenerating eyesight, wildfires, vestigial organs and limbs, redundant DNA or RNA, hurricanes, appendix, optic nerve causing blind spot in human eye, tsunamis, deadly volcanic eruptions, inability to regenerate severed limbs, noncoding DNA, flightless winged animals, lethal lightning strikes, huge portion of earth hostile to humans, earthquakes, blind creatures with eyes, predatory and parasitic animals and insects, cetaceans without gills, 1/3 of all human pregnancies miscarry in first trimester, pelvises in snakes, whales and legless creatures, human embryonic tails, useless insect wings, heavy bones in flying animals, cancer)
(and the concept eternal damnation of billions)
How could anyone glimpse the awesome wonder all around us, and not stand amazed at all of this intelligent design
You can’t just say there is a God because well, the world I beautiful. You have to account for bone cancer in children. You have to account for the fact that almost all animals in the wild live under stress with not enough to eat and will die violent and bloody deaths. There is not any way that you can just choose the nice bits and say that means there is a God and ignore the true fact of what nature is. The wonder of nature must be taken in its totality and it is a wonderful thing. It is absolutely marvelous and the idea that an atheist or a humanist if you want to put it that way, doesn’t marvel and wonder at reality, at the way things are, is nonsensical. The point is we wonder all the way. We don’t just stop and say that which I cannot understand I will call God, which is what mankind has done historically.
