DIARY #3

i wish i was home…
up where the stars meet the sky…
i wish i could be there.
i wish i could fly.

I am alone only half the time, the other half i am only hiding

“Somehow, we have come to think the whole purpose of the economy is to grow, yet growth is not a goal or purpose. The pursuit of endless growth is suicidal.” ~ David Suzuki

‘Cause when there’s life there’s still hope, I can hate you more, but I’ll never love you less’

“tell them i was the warmest place you knew
and that you turned me cold.”

‘The economy is a machine driven by and for us, taking in resources and spitting out waste. This machine sits on the surface of the Earth. The Earth provides all the resources and takes all the waste. Therefore, it is preposterous to assume the economy can be larger than the Earth. The economy is a subsystem of the planet, not the other way around.’

“Weak sustainability [the neoclassical model] would suggest that the lack of fish can be dealt with by building more fishing boats. Strong sustainability [the ecological economics model] recognizes that more fishing boats are useless if there are too few fish in the oceans and insists that catches must be limited to ensure maintenance of adequate fish populations for tomorrow’s fishers.”

“My dad’s philosophy was (and I think still is) that life is a malevolent force, which seeks to destroy you, and you have to struggle with it. Only those who are hard enough will succeed. Most people get crushed, but if you fight, in the end life will go, “Fucking hell. This one’s serious. Let him through.”
― Russell Brand

We are all walking universes unto ourselves. When we decide to interact with one another universes are collided. Some universes repel each other and other sync with one another. But in the end what really matters is how long the universe decide to burn brightly before it dies.

I have a very big crush on you but sadly I am only a little bug while you’re a whole beautiful garden

Standing upon the horizon
Gazing those waves
Remembering the days of happiness
Coming out of our sad caves

We are all stars, waiting for someone who can handle our supernova.

Edmund Burke: “Kebebasan demokrasi tidak aman jika orang mentolerir pertumbuhan kekuasaan privat sampai titik lebih kuat daripada negara demokratisnya sendiri.”

If only our eyes saw souls instead of bodies

The sad thing is, Kirkup said, “Suicide doesn’t end the pain. It passes it on to someone else.”

And when love speaks, the voice of all the gods makes heaven drowsy with the harmony.

An entire sea of water can’t sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. Similary, the negativity of the world can’t put you down unless you allow it to get inside you.

NEVER allow loneliness to make you forget about the facts. When moving on you will miss moments, but don’t let those memories pull you back to a situation that YOU KNOW FOR FACT that was toxic and DESTRUCTIVE for your life…

We are all a little broken. But last time I checked, broken crayons still color the same.

Woman Skeptic: Professor Haldane, even given the billions of years that you say were available for evolution, I simply cannot believe it is possible to go from a single cell to a complicated human body with its trillions of cells organized into bones and muscle and nerves, a heart that pumps without ceasing for decades, miles and miles of blood vessels and kidney tubules, and a brain capable of thinking and feeling.

Haldane: But Madam, you did it yourself! And it only took nine months.
